The Director of the International Qualifications and Assessment Center (IQAC), Mr. Khusniddin Khomidov, held an official meeting with Professor Jon Easter, Director of Development at the University of Hertfordshire – one of the United Kingdom's leading higher education institutions.
During the meeting, both parties discussed avenues for expanding international cooperation in Uzbekistan's higher education sector, introducing practice-oriented, high-quality learning opportunities, and implementing professional programs aligned with British standards (RQF).
Key areas of discussion included:
Establishing close partnerships between the University of Hertfordshire and universities in Uzbekistan;
Launching an official Delivery Center of the University of Hertfordshire in Uzbekistan, enabling students studying through IQAC to obtain a recognized British diploma;
Introducing professional development programs for academic staff that meet international standards;
Providing opportunities for students to undertake internships in the United Kingdom as part of IQAC's practice-based programs.
For reference , the University of Hertfordshire is renowned in the UK and globally recognized for its practical and career-focused education. According to recent statistics, 93% of undergraduate graduates are employed or pursuing further studies within 15 months of graduation, with 72% securing highly skilled positions. Among postgraduate students, 96% are in employment or further study within the same period, of whom 90.5% are in highly skilled roles or engaged in academic research.
