About us

The International Qualifications and Assessment Centre (IQAC) was established within the Agency for Strategic Reforms under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, by decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The IQAC designs and develops qualifications aligned with international standards, benchmarked against England’s Ofqual framework, in accordance with the United Kingdom’s Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF). The IQAC has been tasked with incorporating these qualifications into Uzbekistan’s National Qualifications Framework. Qualification levels corresponding to RQF Levels 3–8 have been recognised by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan as equivalent to the respective levels in Uzbekistan.

Adoption of the United Kingdom’s RQF modular structure and credit system through the IQAC facilitates the recognition of prior learning, enabling learners to transition more easily between different qualifications internationally. This approach further promotes the presence of UK qualifications in Uzbekistan and contributes to the enhancement of educational and cultural ties between the two countries.

The IQAC’s roles and responsibilities also include the design and development of vocational and professional programmes, their integration with higher education in Uzbekistan, the accreditation of educational centres, the provision of support to accredited centres in programme delivery, and the assurance of quality standards.
